I'm still alive
I thought I was dead in the last week, almost died at least. Four assignments and two tests came to me in one week, I've never been that busy in my life. Every time when a new assignment is assigned I tell myself to start it earlier, but I never actually start it earlier, so I have to do everything at the end, working overnight. I haven't got any sleep for several days, buried myself in the lab doing those assignments. 3D design, stats, and java programming, the crapy thing is that those computers we use to do 3D modeling are damned slow, it takes ages to render animations, and crash always happens in the mid of the work. We use Blender to do 3D modeling as the course requires, and it's my first time that i've used this tool, and our assignment is to design a creature or a character has two faces, two arms, tow legs and one tail, I drew a dinosaur with a pair of wings on its back, because it has too many vertices, so I got a little trouble when I applied armature and grouped vertices. Hassle happned when I was rendering my animation on the lab machine, it took me one hour to finish, but it always crashed for no reason when it was almost done, so I did it three times which took me about three hours.. Eventually I rendered successfully, however the access for the online submit was shut... So I only could contact our lecturer and he told me to burn my work on a CD and gave him. I handed in it anyway.
The java assignment is beyond my head this time, I didn't even have any clue how to get it started, and it's worth 20%, I need 10 to pass this course.. I always think that's a mistake to take any C++ or java programming papers, because I'm not good at this sort of programming language at all, but they're both complusory, I have to do them. And I finished it finally, though I can't implement all methods correctly, I couldn't do anything better for this. I hope I'm going to pass it.
Well, another shitty thing happened, I couldn't find my wallet after I went back home on the day I finished my 3D modeling assignment, I looked for it every corner in my messy room, but I still couldn't find it... Fortunately I don't put my EFTPOS(the card I use to pay the money), my student ID, and lab access card inside my wallet, but I can't remember what else could be important I put in my wallet, that's a weird thing you know you do have sth important in your wallet, because you always bring it with you, but you can't actually tell what they are. All I can remember is there're couple of photos of her, and two movie tickets, and that wallet was a present she gave me when I left Shanghai. There's always sth can't be explained, no matter how hard you try to think why is that, what is that. This Monday after I handed in all assignments, my friends suggested to play Unreal Tournament, a first shoot computer game, in the lab, we went there and played a couple of rounds, I took a glance at the underneath of the computer desk, I found my wallet lying right there in the darkness, my wallet is black, and I'm sure I did check there before. Then I got my wallet back, with everything still inside. How lucky!
I was really exhausted when I got back home, I brushed my teeth, washed my face and went straight to my bed. It was 5pm Tuesday when I got up again. I felt hungry, and my room was pretty messy. It's always like that when exams come or assignments due, I don't even have time to cook dinner. I devoured a couple of bread slices, went to school gym to take a shower, I go to gym to take shower now. I took a long time for this shower, tried to wash off my tiredness. After that I went back to my messy room and tidied up, it's very difficult to clean up and organize when you leave a room messy for a few weeks, to sort out sth I need and put them in collecting box, and sth I don't need anymore to throw them into rubbish bin. The work is not always boring, when you tidy up, you collect some memory fragments, you don't lose them, but you just can't think about them when there's no reminder at all. I got some lost socks back, and found some paper work when I was in language school two years ago, and a birthday card that my teachers and classmates sent for me with their blesses and sweet hearts on it. I start to remember the old time, all those wonder time. Another year I've been spending in this city is going to pass.
That's aweful when I opened my blog I haven't updated for a long time, it's not like a room, if you don't clean a room, there's dust everywhere, but there's blank for a blog. nnnn.... I have to put sth on my blog. I have three final exams within 10 days, and after that I'm going back to Shanghai...
